At the other end of the scale, I recently went for a boat ride (more of an enlarged rubber dinghy with massive motors at the rear) in Cornwall which was known as the ‘Rib Ride’. It started off lovely and sedate, watching the seals sunbathe in the sunlight on the rocks with a lighthouse overseeing them above, and then we got to a cove, and then I discovered why it was called a Rib Ride. I felt like I was in a James Bond film with the boat going at a zillion miles an hour, going round in circles at a forty-five-degree angle whilst bouncing off the waves, it was utterly exhilarating!
